Save SomeBunny Sanctuary - OC
Save SomeBunny Rabbit Rescue, Inc. was established in 2014 by a small group of rabbit lovers who met while volunteering at the Irvine Animal Care Center. Over time we saw that rabbits with treatable medical conditions were sometimes candidates for euthanasia because the expense for cure, maintenance, or even end-of-life hospice would be too great for municipal animal shelters to justify.
Our mission is to improve the welfare of rabbits in and around Orange County by combating the problems that lead to rabbit homelessness, supplying information to current and prospective rabbit owners to set them up for success, and by providing medical care and rehabilitation for rabbits for whom we are their last hope.
Please note: bonded groups must be homed together. All rabbits are already spayed/neutered and have received the medgene RHDV-2 vaccination series.
The RHDV-2 vaccine is an annual vaccination that can be scheduled for at these clinics.

Bonnie and her partner Clyde were found dumped and abandoned in an Anaheim park. Sadly, while waiting for their forever home, Clyde passed away. Bonnie is now looking for her forever home full of love and adventure. She loves to run around and binky. She would do best in a home where she can get lots and lots of play time outside of her pen.
Shauna was born at the shelter and came into foster care with her mom and 5 siblings. Shauna has the cutest ears!
Lola was returned to the shelter by a family with young children. She was probably too nervous for over eager little ones but does great with all of the adults she's met in her foster home. She's cute and charming and ready for a more patient and bunny savvy furever home.
Soot is a bit skittish but his foster family is making great progress on earning his trust and getting him to be his goofy self around humans. His sister has since passed and he'd make a great hus-bun or addition to your family.
Tabitha, Hazel and Ellie are a bonded sister trio. Tabitha is the glue sister. She's the most likely to both groom and be groomed by the other two. She's got the most subtle markings and the most sweet personality. Hazel is the sister with a little more coloration than Tabitha. She's the adventurer and the trouble maker. If the girls are out for their run time, she's the first to venture out and the most likely to tease the bunnies still in their pen. Elvira has the sassiest eye markings. She is close with her sisters but spends more time alone than the other two. For this reason, we've introduced her to single boy bunnies and she has done well on dates but then she seems to do poorly with the boy once her sisters aren't around and ends up coming home and integrates right back in with sisters. It's really quite beautiful to see the three little girls together, especially when they all jump on top of their box to make it easier for you to reach down and pet them. It's such a rare treat to have three bunnies together
Shannon and her sister Cara are a beautiful bonded pair. They are looking for a calm indoor space to run, A family that will give them lots of love and attention. Cara is one of Fiona's babies 6 babies. They are so cute and wonderful together! They will hop on over for head rubs once they get to know you. They enjoy spending time with one another and can be adopted as a pair, threesome or even a foursome. Cara has gorgeous fur and the prettiest blue eyes. You are going to fall hard in love with this bunny girl.
Espi is super fast and she loves her tunnel. Over time she has gotten used to being petted, which is great because her gorgeous fur is so plush and velvety soft. You will have a hard time keeping your hands off of her. She is bonded to her sister Penn. Penn is a tan rex mix bunny. She has fully recovered from an abscess she suffered after her spay surgery in 2021. She is a sweet bunny and she loves to be stroked and cuddled. She is also curious and loves to explore the Bunny Room when its her turn to run!
BamBam and Pebbles are siblings. They were originally rescued as tiny infants in an outdoor hutch. The Mama Bun had disappeared and was presumed killed. Their foster family have done a great job socializing them. We are happy to announce that these adorable cuties are now available for adoption! BamBam and Pebbles love attention from human family including time on the couch or bed cuddling. This pair is extremely close and always play and snuggle together. When they get early morning outside play, they love jumping and doing zoomies but first it is a must to chin the area. Treat time is especially important to them and get very excited to hear their treat bag and pellet bag get opened. They also enjoy eating carrots, cilantro, romaine, green and red leaf lettuce and small amounts of spring mix. They have done well with a dog and cat in the home, but prefer not to have the cat getting into their space. They have done well with multiple older children as well.
